Siftware are experts at giving existing PHP applications a new lease of life. They create and maintain custom PHP web sites and applications, working from their offices in Shropshire, UK.
Siftware approached Mike to create a modern, fresh UI design for their website which was beginning to look dated. They needed a site that clearly communicated the services they offered, with greater focus on their USPs.
Mike had already worked on their sister site, rescue.io, which received a very positive response. With this success in mind Mike was given a loose creative brief and left to completely re-skin the existing Siftware website.
Because the content of the site didn’t change it was important to design a logical layout, so visitors could easily navigate the site. Mike used a number of call-to-action buttons to signpost the user journey, allowing users to easily find information, discover Siftware’s story and contact Siftware for a quote.
Throughout the project Mike created clickable prototypes using Invision, allowing Siftware to make comments on the design. The project moved very quickly, and after one or two amendments the final designs were agreed.
The end result is a clean and functional design, which highlights Siftware’s niche of keeping existing PHP projects on track. The colour palette aligns with their brand colours whilst still achieving a fresh and modern appearance using clean, flat design. The re-design is expected to increase the amount of new enquiries thanks to a clearer, more logical layout.
“Really chuffed with the refreshed design & new focus of siftware.com” Darren Beale, Founder, Siftware
