Siftware: website UI redesign
Siftware are experts at giving existing PHP applications a new lease of life. They build and maintain custom PHP websites and applications from their offices in Shropshire, UK.
Siftware asked me to create a modern, fresh UI design for their website, which was starting to look dated. They needed a site that clearly explained their services, with more focus on what makes them different.
I’d already designed their sister site, rescue.io, which went down really well. With that in mind, they gave me a loose creative brief and let me completely re-skin the existing Siftware website.
A clearer user journey
The content wasn’t changing, so a logical layout was important to help visitors find their way around. I used calls to action to signpost the user journey, so people could easily find information, discover Siftware’s story and ask for a quote.
Throughout the project I built clickable prototypes so the Siftware team could comment directly on the designs. The project moved quickly, and after one or two changes the final designs were signed off.
The end result is a clean, functional design that highlights Siftware’s niche of keeping existing PHP projects on track. The colour palette matches their brand while still looking fresh and modern with a clean, flat style, and the clearer layout was designed to bring in more enquiries.
“Really chuffed with the refreshed design & new focus of siftware.com”
