Nokē iOS & Web App UI Design

A smart security platform for your home

After completing my work with Prempoint I was put in touch with Co-founder and President David Gengler of Nokē. He and his team had a growing product that was in need of some UI design and UX love.

Nokē is a powerful bluetooth lock platform with integrated, smart locking access control, automated key management and audit trails. Nokē is an essential part of any home and business lock management system.

My first task was to learn all about how their locks and platforms worked. I was sent some Bluetooth locks and got busy testing and working out how I could improve the UX of their platform.

The next task was to create some high fidelity wireframes and talk David and his team through my ideas. I presented my wireframes via a screen share and made a list of feedback which lead to a Q&A session, further exploring the possibilities and features.

I then took some time away from the team and designed some fresh UI designs for both their iOS app and Web App portal.

The designs were well received which lead me to start working with the teams developers, making sure every detail was covered.

This project was a huge step forward for me and my career as not only was I working on a product that was cross-platform but also a physical product that had it’s own limitations and possibilities.

The end product is a clean, easy to use and smart application that I’m very proud of. What’s even more exciting is that my design will be the basis of other areas of their business as they continue to grow and release new products.
