Directional Dash: a gem matching puzzle game for iOS

Directional Dash started as a hobby and grew from a simple gameplay idea into a fully working game played by over 47,000 people around the world.

The aim of the game is to clear blocks by matching gems and swiping your finger in the direction the gems point. There are four directional gems: up, down, left and right.

As you clear them, new blocks slide in as if by magic. Perfect your strategy and you can build bigger, more valuable gems that create bonuses when you clear them.

Simple, beautiful game design

I designed the game to be as simple and as beautiful as possible, using flat graphics and striking colour.
